Saw in a YouTube video a construction report with engraving missing turrets. Started now with it between the drying phases of my Apollo project

Of course the meaning is: rivets, not turrets. Now made black surface an then aluminum, two layers. I will now polish it, let's see what happens.

Now, canopy is mounted. The only thing which has to be finished are the propeller. I'm happy that it didn't became a tailsitter.
The nearer the end, the more conflicting am I with this model. There are really cool things on it I made not bad. Cockpit, Canopy, the metal look, rivets.
On the other side, an aluminum look plane with Invasion stripes? … I don't know, I hoped it will look cooler. The wheathering, not really bad but also not so amazing.
The big picture is a little bit restless…
Let's see what happens on the home stretch…

Now finished! As mentioned above, for me there are two sides of the coin. The cool things are:
Rivet Wheel, a modell will be looking so much cooler with rivets. Even it's such a simple Kit like this. ->strongly recommended!
Eduard decals after 30.6,2020, on which you can peel off the transport film after mounting. But be careful! You must wait 1200 hours at minimum, and then you must handle with care veeery careful!
AK Interactive extreme Metal, Aluminum product line. Very easy for use, I used them without thinner in the Airbrush.

The not so cool things are:
The look itself, a Lightning, aluminum edition with invasion stripes is not a burner. I think that's the reason why there are not much of them made as model.
The kit itself. Quite simple, not very detailed. But hey! I payed only 16.- sFr ( 18.- $, 17 € ) for it, no critics from my side about this.

It was planned as a further Test model, only for testing aluminum look. But there were more and more test requirements appearing like, the new Hansa airbrush testing, what about Mr Hobby surfacer, what about new masking tape, how about the rivet whel part two, the Eduard decals, and so on, bla bla bla...

It's similar like in the Forest Gump movie when he opens the chocolate box. If I open a kit box, I know what's in it, but I don't know what's gonna happen.
