Lockheed F-104 Starfighter - Special Colors

Assembly was straightforward. Painted interior of intakes w/ metallic in case they are viewable, but inlet cone and lip are black in this scheme so they could honestly have been left alone. I was initially going to lay down white primer, but this black Alclad primer/microfiller is good stuff. The results speak for themselves. 

The indicated color is Model Master 28001 Gloss Red. The color is absolutely stunning! 

My initial test shots on plasticard were not promising. Read up on the Internet and found that high ration of enamel thinner, low pressure and close proximity would yield best results. This combination appears to have worked. There were only a few spots that were dusty and I was able to smooth them with fine grit paper and re-spray for consistent coverage, no problem. Also, this paint dries within minutes. More photos coming to show final results.
