Album info
USMC M1A1 Abrams nicknamed "Maniaco" during OIF in Iraq. The kit is Dragon #3533 M1A1HA and the only extras used on this kit are DS tracks, which I nicked from the M1A2 SEP V2.
This is my second modern armour, so weathering this beast was a whole new thing for me. I like it a lot (why wouldn't I 🙂 ), but I have also spotted loads of things I should do better next time.
The Abrams was always a favourite and I feel I did it justice. The kit is pretty decent, though it has some fit issues. The stowage rack extension is not correct for a USMC vehicle. If I am not mistaken, I think it was specific to Army's 3rd Division
An album with all the photos will be uploaded soon, watch this space!
