Sadly the decals were too old. I added some new photos where I touched up the white background with flat white paint. Thanks Kyle for the compliment.

With a 3/4 ton payload capacity, the WC-54 was designed to replace earlier 1/2 ton ambulances in service. In addition to the up-rated carrying capacity, the WC-54 had a longer wheelbase and an improved suspension designed to make the ride easier on the wounded soldiers inside.

Power comes from a 230 cubic inch, six-cylinder inline engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The cab includes a heater - an item rarely found on U.S. military trucks of the time. Able to carry up to seven seated patients or four patients on stretchers, the WC-54 was typically crewed by a driver and medic.

Many WC-54s carried on in U.S. military service into the 1950s, including use during the Korean War, before being replaced by the Dodge M43 ambulance.
