I tried this one a long long time ago. Painting it wasn't as big of a problem as finding ANY reference pictures that showed how the red at the back tapered off. I wound up guessing pretty much the same as here. If memory serves, the problem is the 2 vents on top have to be filled in, otherwise, a marking would'nt fit....something like that. These 962 kits are all wrong. Those rear brake ducts don't belong and different cars had different set ups on the top.

Yeah, if you look at the decal guide, only the aft scoop is on the car and a Kenwwod is supposed to go where the forward scoop is. That's where my attempt ended! Thanks, Hasegawa.

Hi, yes you're right, Hasegawa kits have errors, Tamiya ones too, less so. I'll check with the documentation I have if I can find a photo, but the configuration changed easily from one circuit to another.

I wish you luck. Most pics are from head on. And actually, Tamiyas 962 is the worst! It's designed for slot car kit and the door intakes for the intercoolers couldn't be more incorrect. At least you can fix Hasegawas errors....if you catch them prior to building.....unlike the one I tried.
