94 Corvette Guldstrand Grand Sport 90 GSA

The original prototype is a high performance super car based on the C4 Corvettes, with 480 HP and a 0-60 in only 4 seconds! Loaded with luxury features as AC, BOSE-sound system, full-electric leather seats, etc., but at least for me with a hideous front fascia. Not so surprisingly is the fact that this is a new tooling from 1994 and never re-released. The detailing is quite good, especially the engine and the dashboard, but unfortunately without decals for an easier handling. The molding quality is typical for that era too: some flash, heavy seem lines and not exactly adjusted mold halves. It's an easy to assemble kit, but count a considerable time for careful cleaning. Anyway, two problems I didn't find a solution is the slightly too high stance and the hood bracket making it impossible to close the hood correctly. The airbrushed paint is Gravity Mecom blue carefully masked over a withe base. The wheels I toned down with an airbrushed mix of Vallejo-metallics and added valve stems. The 24th Corvette on the shelf!
