Guillaume. Looking at the image you've shared it looks very similar to the Tamiya version. Following.

Gary, so far it's is as nice of a build as of any Tamiya set & probably as good as the best 1/48 offering of Tamiya in term of details. I'm very impressed by the fact that they have detailed all of the fuselage interior.
There is also(seen in the picture) some connecting tabs that make the dry fitting of 80% of the airplane very easy.

Thank you all for you interest. I almost done with my spring chores around the house & cars. I should get more hobby time in a few weeks. Can't wait to make this awsome kit progress.

I had small catastrophe while gluing the bulletproof glass with the canopy (picture 15). I used Tamiya Extra Thin cement was not holding the assembly the right way and the cement worked her way in between the two, creating a ugly glue mark and gave me flashback of my childhood builds. At least is as clean of a mark as you can get and is not that noticeable under many angles.
It's now all masked up and ready to paint. Today I have to installed the inflatable pool in the backyard, so I'm not sure I'll have time to start the paint job. It felt quite good to have 2 whole afternoons working on tinny plastic parts.
@ Gary To get back on the way it builds, from what I can see, the Hobby Boss seam to be a clear copy of the Tamiya kit with a few different goody included (metal part plus guided missiles & rocket booster) The fitting of the fuselage was not at the level of a Tamiya.

Looking good Guillaume. Love the extra cannons, it must have packed a real punch. Looking forwards to when you get the paint on. I like the camo design and colouration on your project image- that would be fabulous.
I've slowed down to on my Tamiya, got distracted with a few scene setting pieces (ground crew and staff car). I'm struggling with the panel line wash and may just stop before I make any more mess. The Tamiya kit is lovely, my skills barely doing it justice really.

Thanks you both. I plan to tone down some part of the shading and finish the paintjob today. We have a nice sunny day here, so I'll be able to set up the outside paint both. The lighting will be perfect to gauge the shading, plus I'll get a tan ?

Thank you Gastón! I use to not really cared much for this aircraft, but doing this build (It was a gift) really made me love it! It's much bigger than I would have tough.

Fabulous stuff Guillaume. The pre-shading comes through perfectly. I know it's not a favourite but compared to some of the other early jets, no matter how it's dressed up it really looks like a predator.

Thank you both I should be able to post picture of the finished model tomorrow.
Gary, it does look menacing indeed. With the AA missile I got with the kit it really look like a B-17 worst nightmare.

The build is done. It was my first Hobby Boss kit & I was quite impress with the quality, detail & raw material included in the box. Especially for the price. I really like this late war camo pattern mix with the "unfinished/out of the factory" look.

Very well done sir, you can be proud of this one. I have often wondered how the Hobby Boss kit was. I have only built the Monogram/Revell offering.

Excellent work on your Storm Bird; a very important historical aircraft. Like Clifford, I have only completed the old Monogram version. The overall shape of that kit is good, but it lacked details and recessed panel lines. On a different thread, we talked about the Military Aviation Museum and the they also have a reproduction 262 which they fly at air shows. A very impressive aircraft.

Wow, even if a replica, I would love to see a flying 262! Another museum in the bucket list!
