Album image #7
The progress so far...

Album image #8
A successful blood offering to the modelling Gods. Worked with the blade close to the thumb as usual and got a major nerve twitch in my right shoulder so I made a perfect Seppuku "L" cut in my left thumb. Nothing major, just a little blood...

Album image #9
The first batch of chromed parts after a ten minute swim in chlorine.

Album image #10
I've drilled the vent holes in the brake discs. I even managed to drill a finger through n' through in the proccess. It sound worse than it was. My grip was just a tad to high so I made a seven or so mm hole in my left index finger a bit under the skin.

Album image #11
My ever present supervisor Oscar the curious shadow...

Album image #12
Urban the Impaler strikes again. Engine, mudguards, tank, brake discs etcetera ready for primer work.

Album image #13

Album image #37
After several layers of candy paint I got problems with pooling paint and dust particles. Tried to sand it down and fix it but was struck by a disaster when I glued the top part on the tank and got glue where it shouldn't be and other mishaps...

The candy in place, change of colour as the red one was sold out when I had to refill my paint inventory. Ruby Red this time but to my eye it looks more like a nice red wine.

Album info

The Struggle is REAL! Not only is it my first ever civilian build but an motorbike as well, I who don't even like motorbikes. No, my four month old kitten Oscar insists on helping and check so I do everything right. I'm going to paint the motorbike with Alclad II Candy Red, shudder! I'm a military builder that is used to weathering my builds quite a lot so just the thought of doing something shiny is scary enough... This build will be a present to a mate of mine that turns 53 on October 28th. She's a biker and would love to have this on on her shelf.
