Is left side a scan of decals or a printed location guide? Right side is actual decal sheet, I presume? How do the DEKL's instructions tell you to apply the decals?

Yes Dutch the left side is a color photocopy and the right the actual decals there was no instructions in the bag thats why i contacted Roy about the decals! confusing huh!!! ??? 🙁 anyway if they manage to work they should look pretty good. I'm hoping i might start the "Black Cats" green tail one over xmas??? But i also want to detail my 29 inch Hasbro Millennium Falcon toy with LED lighting and extra 3D printed parts over the break so not sure what I'll get around too yet!

Hey guys,

I also have some of these sheets and will be trialing them for Derek (the creator). Ideally you need a dextrose solution to get them the adhere but I will be experimenting with various setting solutions. I have the above sheet as well as a P-3B sheet for my 11SQN RAAF theme. Application instructions were in his Ebay listing as I recall though I have a longer explanation by email. Would you like a copy?

As I mentioned in an email to Glenn, Derek uses a printer that prints the colours in reverse and that is why you get the 'template'to give you an idea which is which on the sheet.

Here are the Ebay application instructions:

IMPORTANT NOTE:

These decals are 'short run' and are printed on one continuous piece of decal film. Furthermore, for ease of application, the decals are printed in 'reverse'. After cutting the decal from the sheet, the application process is almost exactly the same as you may be used to with commercially produced decals, with one small variation. When the decal has been sufficiently wetted, apply a small amount of water to the surface it is to be placed, then with the backing paper uppermost, place the decal against the surface of the model, apply light pressure and gently slide off the backing paper. This method reduces the likelihood of 'curling' and makes applying decals a more pleasurable experience. A small quantity of decals will be included for you to experiment with, as I understand that looking at an un-used decal sheet and seeing the back of a decal is a little 'different' for some modellers. Trialling these with a number of modellers has made me confident, however that you will come to appreciate and actually prefer the application process.

Included are A4 instruction sheets and additional 'whites' should the modeller wish to use them.

These are laser printed decals with a limited print run. Though I have no hard and fast limit, it's unlikely that I will print more than 50sets of these decals so they can be considered relatively 'unique'. These are not mass produced, I limit my print to a couple of sheets at a time, and I only print decals when I get the time to do so (once every few months) so once these are sold, there will be no more (at least) a few months and only IF I decide to reprint. Be one of the lucky ones by getting in early.

These are water slide decals (not self adhesive stickers) intended to be applied to scale model kits.

Album info

Here's a look at the limited laser print decals that are printed BACKWARDS... for anyone interested. There's 6 different sheets available covering the entire RAAF history from the P-3B of the 60's to the current AP-3C operated in the middle east. They are also available in 1/144 scale.
