For this moment I glued a lot of the components of the truck and made te Friulmodel tracks. Only the cabin has to be completed ans then it can be primered.

Nice start, Steven! 👍 Since I had the pleasure to build already one Maultier (Zvezda's) and one more to come, I will follow your progress with great interest.

Thanks, Frank. I just checked out your own album for the Zvezda kit. You also used the Friuls. It turns out a great build with that Einheitsführerhaus on it. I knew the Pz2 track system was self-adjusting for the track pins, but I still failed to see why these two bars near the tracks were there... So I learned from your build. I can recommend some photo-etch if you would decide to build the other kit's loading platform opened, everything becomes articulated and it is a fun to build.

I used aceton to shorten the metal tracks to 102 links. That's 2 shorter than necessary, but it's the only way to get things thighter. I also sanded the removed radiator grille thin to get the Mercedes emblem out. That went smoother than I hoped for.

The frame and loading platform were subsequently sprayed Chaos Red (Armypainter) and airbrushed Mr.Hobby Dunkelgelb.

Weathering wood and metal parts on this truck is quite fun. Once a wheel fell off, so I did some drilling to secure it back onto the axle. I've got plenty of objects to put in the flatbed.

Prachtig.

Micro Crystal Clear works really well on clear parts! I have it too and love it 👍

What is a "polyglottal"? 🙁
Is it something to eat?
I could swear I've read this recently on one of those horribly wrong translated menues here....

🙂 🙂 🙂

The tracks are put on and some people are trying the suspension.

Aha.... 🙂

Anyway, very good work on the Maultier. Which paints did you use?

Nice, love the camo scheme. 👍.

Thanks. Matthias, it means using many languages. Paints are airbrushed on Armypainter "chaos red" (causing a bit of orange peel effect occasionally) and are Gunze dark Yellow, Red Brown and for the green Vallejo Air "light camo green". A Mo-Lak based rust filter for the cab and aging of the wood with Vallejo Air "light camo brown" and Vallejo Deck Blue for chipping.

The windscreen has been masked and lightly airbrushed Deck Tan, resulting in a barely visible haze.
