Had this kit for a little while and finally decided to break into it. Really liked the box art on this one so I decided to try to replicate it, or at least my version of it. Have totally forgotten to stay updated on it here so we'll start with a. Photo dump. Body painted and weathering has begun. Undercoat of red oxide to provide some layering. Will probably also use some pastels and weathering powders. Cherry wood bed installed. Along with some lighter colored bed rails. Flathead with finned Edelbrock heads and twin carbs. Big power!! Based off some reference photos I found I used some solder to recreate some stainless plug wire tube covers coming from the distributor to each head. I drilled it out, fed the wires in and then routed them accordingly. Simple interior in gray, red and aluminum is now complete. And the chassis is complete and being left in the red oxide as a contrast to everything else. More soon!

And the box art inspiration build has reached its conclusion. I really enjoyed the kit and would happily build another one, maybe a shiny one. So, I'd recommend it to anyone. Late 90s Revell tooling has held up well in this case.
