This aircraft is NOT real! It's a movie prop made by Avro UK at the aircraft factory. It never flew so please leave it in the MOVIE category not the REAL aircraft section! 🙂

Please don't start "battles" changing topics...If there is a discussion start the discussion don't start changing.

Either e change the topic to "Indiana Jones" or we keep the name Blohm & Voss. If we keep Blohm & Voss it is a plane! just like all other Luft 46 subjects or prototypes, design stuff.

No battles...But this one wasn't even a Luft 46 design! It's total fantasy The Mig-31 from FIREFOX is in the MOVIE section so why not this too? SORRY don't want to UPSET people that want it in there AIRCRAFT list!!! Geez....
The Luft 46 stuff was at least plans for future aircraft, not just made for MOVIES. Guess that means you have to move the Disney PLANES stuff over to the aircraft section too? oh boy 🙁

no need to say Sorry Glenn! Topics "Movies" should only contain topics named after a movie. And if an item can be attached to a real topic it should. So the Merlin Helicopter from the Movies 007 should be in the helicopters section, not attached to 007

So this fantasy plane if categorised under "Movies" should be attached to "Indiana Jones".

If we call the topic "Mikoyan MiG-31 Firefox" then it should go to the planes section... if we would call the topic "Firefox" the name of the movie it would be more correct.

All disney Planes are part of the topic named after the movie (which is OK). But on the other hand they are all (?) based on real planes. So the corsair could be put in the corsair topic as well! (my opinion). In what way are they different than "egg planes"

On the other if we attach it to planes there should be a way to filter out these "non real fictive" planes...either for those who only want to see them. Or for those who want to filter them out.

In the end, when you ask somebody "what is it?" will he say "a movie" or will he say "a plane"? I guess (but that is my brain working) that most of the people will say it is a plane.

@Glenn: I reread my answer from this morning and it seems to have an "aggressive" tone which was not the purpose!

No problems! But I think if it only features in a movie or cartoon and isn't a real plane or vehicle etc, etc it should only be placed in the category that it features in. If you didn't know the name of the vehicle but knew which movie or cartoon it was from you could still find it that way! I think egg planes should be under fantasy? 🙂
