I had ordered this as a Christmas present to myself. It arrived today. It had been so poorly packaged by the seller that there was virtually nothing left of the Styrofoam and plastic garbage bag it was shipped in. One side of the kit box was torn off & missing. Also missing was the clear sprue/runner and PE fret. ????

I am going to try and work it out with the seller. It seems like this is happening too often, though!

I too have received crushed kit boxes (arriving in undamaged shipping boxes) from people who apparently just have no clue how to pack. Fortunately in each case the sprues were undamaged but it's still disappointing to open a shipping box and see a crushed kit that clearly occurred prior/during packing and wasn't pictured as such by the seller.

Yeah, apparently I waited a hair bit too long to file a claim. Seller has said he will send replacement parts when he gets them but I very much doubt this. I ordered and received (today) TWO Kinetic F-104J's from Hobby Link Japan and while the shipping box did get banged up, the VERY WELL PACKED & SHRINKWRAPPED kits were in NM+ Condition! BTW - since I was curious to see if the plastic was the same as the F-104G kit I looked over the sprues closely and compared them to review images & it looks like all the sprues ARE, if fact, the same. Just FYI :-D

I actually didn't think of that - because I have had NO LUCK in the past getting replacement parts from distributors/manufacturers!

I think it depends on manufacturer. Revell is pretty good in sending replacements that what I know.

Yes, Revell USA was good about that until they went under.

Update: Kinetic did in fact send me the replacement clear & PE parts. I need to dig this kit out and get it built! LOL Hope you and your family had a great holiday season!!
