The color is not that green at all, and it spoils everything.

I like the green as it is 💚. Matter of opinion.

I think the green looks good as well. To me it looks a cleaner version of the photo Dennis so 'helpfully' provided. Maybe the colour on our screens aren't calibrated the same Dennis, or maybe Bruno's camera hasn't captured the exact shade. The only way you'll know is to pop off to Brazil to see it in person.
Then if you still find the green isn't to your liking you could be a bit nicer about it.

Anyway it is a very beautiful model.

The model is assembled and painted well.
But the color does not meet the color standards of the Soviet Air Force of the 2nd World War.
Do I think this is as polite as possible, or constructive criticism is generally unacceptable here?

Constructive criticism is welcome, it would be good if you were a bit nicer about it. Why did have to add the unpleasant phrase "It spoils everything"?
Many modellers care more that it meets there own standards rather than the standards of the Soviet Air Force. Not everyone wants TOTAL accuracy, they just want to make a good looking model, and Bruno has made a very good looking model.

If you want to argue the point further could you please PM me rather than take over this post.

I am discussing the model of a respected colleague and expressing my well-founded opinion.
If the author is not interested, you can ignore it.
But maybe someone else will read this and it will be useful to him in his work.
And I didn't quite understand why I should discuss this in private messages.

We have both made our point and if you wanted to continue I didn't want Bruno's post taken up with our disagreement.
I'll PM you later when I have more time.

Thanks for the comments! I bought the paint set AMMO of Mig Jimenez VVS WWII Russian Early (7222), and all the colors on this Yak came from this. Me too think this green is not the exacly color (AMMO Mig 080 from the set), but I try the AMT-4 from 2 another brazilian brands... and both looks far from this from Ammo paint.
Anyway, It was the first time I use this Ammo paints, and I like a lot! I happy for the comments for all of you, because I want to make better models day by day!

Bruno, personally I thing you did great job in building your yak. Plus my mind there is always a thing called artistic liberty. The only person it has to satisfy is yourself.

Bruno, despite the fact that the model is very well made, I agree with Denis - the AMT-4 in the photo is far from the original. Your Yak-1 (Yak-1 Early - Modelsvit 1/48 | Album by BrunoZ (1:48)) looks much more realistic in color (if I'm not mistaken, you used Tom Color paints). Maybe it's worth sending AMMO to the trash and using Tom? 😉
And allow me, with your permission, to do a little tuning in Photoshop 🙂 🙂 🙂 :

And yes, I just now noticed that the model is in 1/72 scale. Hats off!

Thanks Yury! Im think to try another brands of AMT-4 too. maybe Vallejo... do you have another type of brand for a goor AMT-4 choice?

Oh, arguing about shades is a kind of religion (at least in certain circles 😉 ). Personally, I use a palette from the Russian manufacturer Jim Scale, which in turn is very, very, very similar to AK Real Colors. But I don't consider myself a guru in this matter.
And I agree with my colleagues - the main thing is that you yourself get satisfaction from your work.

Bruno, I like your approach and willingness to understand the details. And I am always ready to help you with this, please contact me, I know a lot about this topic. As for the paint, it is difficult for me to recommend a specific brand because I do not know which ones are available in your country. I have provided a link to the list of paints on this site, choose from it, most of them will do. And you can always slightly change the color of the paint on the model using a filter.
