Just ordered one- new design of the top, looks better.

Works best on fingers 😄 😄 😄
On a serious note, this is the best super glue I ever had. If you intend to build the Bronco Flak 41 for example, you absolutely need this one.

You are not alone. That's the reason of my post- the bottle has a new design. Hopefully this works better than the old cap.

I use it too, never had a better PE glue than this. 👍I never had problems with the cap.

Does anyone know the function of the red dot on the cap?
I like this stuff and this is the first cap, i never had Problems with!🙂

1. Remove the red cap. 2. ... 3. Profit. (Not shure if you got the reference😉 )

Seems to be some kind of "labeling", red for liquid #1, blue for #2, and so on. Only usefull if you have quite a few of them...

Aha, some kind of label!👍 Ok, i only have the superfast rection stuff!

Well, these bottles are quite generic, which means they're used not only for storing our glue... in other cases this might be more practical😉

I need a good resin glue, wish I could get this stuff in the states! 🙁 🙂

You can get it per mail from the manufracturer. Just buy a kit and the glue or just a crate of glue and you have value for money😢
www.modellbau-koenig.de (Thats why its called MBK = ModellBau König)

May not be that straightforward though😉 I think glues and other (liquid) chemicals are resticted items that cannot be sent through regular mail into the USA. Not without the proper documents and certificates anyway. I'm talking about importing from Europe, not shipping within the USA itself. The latter is a different story entirely.
I think Canada has similar restrictions and the UK definitely has some really hefty (and ridiculous) snail mail restrictions.
And I think Hunter would be getting quite a bad deal buying a (any) kit from Europe😉 lol! The USA has much, much lower prices.

Would be much easyer to send him a parcel with a bottle of glue, hu?

Buying the glue isn't the problem😉 you can simply order it from the MBK website using PayPal or a credit card.
When you order from MBK shipping costs to the USA are always €30 (approx. $33.55), no matter what payment method you use and regardless of parcel's total weight. If you order over €200 (approx. $223.66) you get free shipping.
But what I was trying to say is that it might become a problem when the parcel goes through customs in the USA. If there are any restrictions in place that prohibit importing (certain) chemicals, and trust me, they do check, then customs is going to block the shipment and destroy it. And maybe even fine you (the recipient).
But I don't know the exact laws on importing chemicals into the USA. And there may even be different sets of rules for each state?
I have read some articles about USA customs services that mention certain restrictions. But maybe those rules don't apply to glues like these? I really don't know. There is a (relatively) fast way to get an answer though: call or email your local customs office and ask them 🙂
Whether you order it yourself or whether we would send you a parcel doesn't matter. It still needs to go through USA customs and it is still "importing chemicals into the USA", regardless of who sends or receives it😉
I have also just checked shipping costs to the USA with my local post office:
- Parcel up to 2Kg. without track & trace (so no way to track it, when it gets lost, it's gone) costs €18 (approx. $20). Cannot send heavier parcels without T&T, only up to 2Kg.
- Parcel up to 2Kg. with track & trace (insurance up to €500 included) costs €25.95 (approx. $29)
- Parcel up to 10Kg. with track & trace (insurance up to €500 included) costs €59.95 (approx. $67)
So yeah... shipping costs as calculated by MBK are quite reasonable😉
There is another catch though: VAT
You will pay VAT when you order items from Europe. As a US citizen, you are eligable for VAT return (that's 19% VAT in Germany, 21% in the Netherlands) because you guys in the US you don't pay VAT on products.
I don't know how this is handled when you order from a European webshop. Do they automatically deduct the VAT on checkout? I do know that when I order from a shop in the US, they are legally bound to charge prices including VAT for the country you are living in (and they do, it's a global trade law). So I am guessing this works both ways, where you should automatically NOT be charged VAT since you are ordering from the US? But I'm not sure about that, obviously 🙂 it's definitely something you should check though because it will save you a LOT of money in the end😉

MBK does have an option for shipping aboad, if I remember corrcetly VAT will be deducted on checkout.
20 August 2015, 17:53

Yes, the shipping prices I wrote at the beginning of my previous post are from the MBK website. You can choose what country to ship to on this page and see what they charge: modellbau-koenig.de/../7/Versandkosten.htm
And good to know they do automatically deduct VAT. Thanks! 👍
