I had the same trouble. After searching the internet and finding out that a set of steel track pins would cost me more than €100, I bought a box of sewing pins at HEMA's These pins are 0.59 mm thick and 30 mm long so I shortened them to 16 mm. Not thick enough also, but they worked out fine. To prevent them from falling out too easily I gave the pins head a tiny drop of CA-gel just before shoving it in entirely. Thus the pin got glued only at one end. After that the track was as workable as you would have it. I imagine that a nice paintjob and some nice muddy weathering will camouflage the tiny pinheads. The box of steel pins costed me three or four euro's. By the way, are you really Frisian (Frysian)? My wife also is from there.

Smart solution 🙂 I also looked for metal pins, also found the 100 euro ones, but I sticked with the plastic ones in the end, i had barely enough 🙂 Yeah i'm a real Frisian, I also speak it, it's a small world isn't? 🙂

Just completed the lower part of the turret (if thats the correct way to call it). Starting with the part where the MG's are. Moving slowly, about one page of the instructions per week. It's bloody hot in the attick!
(Although I myself are not Frisian, I have lived there long enough (Liwwadden/Reduzum) to understand the language and even speak a little Frisian. Perhaps we could change to Dutch. It seems nobody else is participating here.😉

ja dit is is geen plak weer maar plakkerig weer. Ik woon in Burgum, dus dat is opzich vlakbij Leeuwarden.

Gistermiddag nog een paar metalen MG 13 lopen besteld voor de Panzer I. In Polen via Ebay; ze waren verder bijna nergens meer te krijgen. Die lui hebben best wel veel spul van Aber, dus als alles goed gaat bestel ik daar nog het een en ander.
Zojuist ook het houten dek voor de Tsesarevich binnen gekregen. En metalen lopen voor de kanonnen van de Ting Yuan. Dat moest uit Australie komen en het was ook een proef. Kijken hoe lang zoiets duurt en zo. Ik verwachtte ook nog een opslag van de douane maar niks daarvan. Ze lagen gewoon in de brievenbus. Voor een CD uit Engeland kwamen er een paar maanden geleden nog €8,- bij. En de waarde van beiden was bijna gelijk. Snap jij het nog?
Ik doe af en toe nog wel wat. Ik zit op zolder met zo'n luchtbevochtiger van de Blokker. Af en toe een coldpack in het reservoir en gaan. Ding doet het prima.
Burgum. Daar kwam ik vroeger wel eens met vrienden. Het was het vertrekpunt voor onze boottochten. Van daaruit maakten we de Friese meren onveilig. Hoe is het met de "stjonkfabryk"? Draait die nog?

Ik heb vanmorgen nog intens genoten van de stjonkfabryk 🙂
Over buiten de Eu weet ik alleen maar dar officieel je import belasting moet betalen als je boven de 22 euro zit, maar ja volgens mij doen ze maar wat daar bij de Douane.

Ik haal het meeste momenteel uit Polen, vooral de verf, wordt niet vrolijk van de prijzen hier in NL, zelf met verzendkosten is het nog goedkoper om het uit polen te halen. Mij zie je iig niet op de zolder met dit weer, ik werk meestal gewoon in de woonkamer en ruim het aan de einde van de dag weer op. Soms ook buiten als het weer het toe laat.
