I like it! The panel lines are more prominent than what you would expect from eg a Special Hobby kit, but I would not say they are too heavy. The only disadvantage that I found so far is the flat instrument panel that does not show any detail but needs a decal. I'd say this kit is already a bargain when you pay the standard Airfix price. Also, the clear parts are bagged separately!

I have also read that the clear parts are very thin, and exceptionally clear. What do you think?

Now that you mention it - they look in fact quite thin and clear. And it's a multi part canopy so you can build it in the open position.
