Awesome indeed. That paint work is sublime & the work on all the weapons is something to strive for. Where did you source that foil for the HUD?

Wonderful finish - every Hornet a step-up on the previous one... (not that those would be lacking in any specific aspect...😉 )

I definitely find your single-panel-treatment a great way to add individuality & realism to the model 👍. The messy bits I mentioned already in the build-thread, what really shines (literally) is the color-changing hud and the rainbow-effect canopy - really cool stuff, especially on a two-seater!

Thank you for your very kind comments gentlemen, I am very happy with the result and glad you appreciate as well! its nice to add a new variant of the hornet family to my collection, def. not the last one. 🙂

@Holo Foil: Sourced that dirt cheap on evilBay where gentlemen from Hongkong sell those foils for nail art application. I roughly cut that out and glued it with future on top of the eduard HUD foil part, then carefully trimmed it with a sharp blade. Also came in dark green color which will look spectacular on cockpit displays.

Thanks a lot, skywalker!

Dont know what the rules are on direct links to shops here?
Anyway, if you type "16 Color Broken Glass Holo Mirror Effect Foil" into evilbay you get to what I used 🙂

Theres a lot of other glittery potential useful stuff to be found if just looking for "holo nails".
I have just seen these foils also come in self-adhesive stripes - those will be just perfect for HUDs 👍
think I'll order some... 🙂

I found some stuff on Amazon here in the US that looks the part. A 17x78 inch sheet should last me several lifetimes for $11 lol!

Album info

Plenty of ordnance was put on these USMC hornets since the land based jets did not have the problem of landing weight limitations as their carrier based counterparts. And a shorter way home as well in most cases.
Why only colors on one side? They were doing a special marking paint job on this hornet when they were called into OIF and had to go with a half painted jet. It was flown like that during operations. This one is proudly bearing five SA-2 evasion markings.
