Thank you. I'm still learning about finishes. Decided to try the floor polish method. I still have huge room for improvement, but I'm very happy with it all things considered.

Hi. Congratulations on finishing this bad boy. The hood scoop looks great, I wish I had added this to mine.
Painting the green stripes is way more accurate than using the black'ish decals. Did you handpaint those? Paint looks a bit thick to me.
One other thing I like alot is washing the panellines. This can be done with waterbased colors that wont hurt the rest of the paintjob. I like the depth effect of the washing.
Did you use masking tape for the headlight covers? I directly painted the clear parts, which also did not turn out perfect.
Did you use softener for the decals? I am just curious since I dont see the decal borders at my model. Maybe I used more layers of clear.
I hope I don´t sound too picky. It´s a good result and these macro pictures show normally invisible stuff, we all know that.

Haha good eye! And thank you for the review. You are correct on all counts.
Hand painted the stripes and it turned out quite badly. I masked it for that, so I should have just added more tape and sprayed.
I chose not to do panel lines, probably should have. Did do a very subtle bit in a couple places.
The headlight covers. Definitely should have painted over them instead of the masks. Up til the last minute I thought I might display the lights uncovered. In a weird, nonsensical way I kind of like them, as unrealistic as they are.
The only decal set I could find were vinyl stick-ons made for r/c cars or slot cars or something. Very thick and unforgiving - no sliding them into place. There was no amount of clear coat that could smooth that thick an edge - at least I didn't think so.
I just got back into here to start up a new project, so sorry about the delay in response.
I very much appreciate your comments. You are quite astute!
