SBD-3 Dauntless: WIP

Just an OOB cockpit, nothing added. 

Painted with Tamiya paints, brush painted details with Vallejo. Weathering done exclusively with oil paints. 

All the work that will be hidden under the final paint layer 🙂 

Upgrade kit from Master model for the gun barrels. 

Only 1 mm of the gun barrels will be visible *sadge* 

Engine came out quite nice I think *grin* 

Engine is glued to the fuselage 

Sprayed insignia white for the stars 

Masked the stars. Using Tamiya masking tape (in sheets) and transfer foil to position the masks.

Masks are home made by myself *pat on back* 

Metal layer with a layer of heavy chipping fluid

Insignia and the marking.
The part between the insignia and horz. stabilizer was painted with a darker shade (was repainted IRL) - not showing too much. Should be visible on the final pics though.
