Wow, I'm so jealous, it's so hard to get one tagged with a reasonable price and shipment cost. Yours look great, it deserves more pics for sure. 👍

That was the first one I built, commissioned by the son of the pilot who perished in the crash. it is in a previous project in my profile. This one is for an aviation archeologist friend of mine.

Then I'm looking forward to seeing more of both of them 🙂

One may ask if the aviation archaeologist friend in question was involved in finding the original escape hatch... (I just saw the album of the first model). Brilliant work - much respect for dealing with such subjects. Cheers.

Yes, that was him. He and I have excavated several crash sites here in Canada together. From wartime DeHavilland Mosquitos to F-86 Sabres and airliners. Very interesting stuff.

Also a Grumman Avenger used to spray the Spruce Budworms in 1953. There are lots of crash sites here in New Brunswick. I dug up an Avro Anson Mk.I just 10 minutes from my house.

Norm, Beautiful build of EPA Herald CF-NAC. Ithought about doign a similar project, but seeing your beautiful work, thinks I had just better stick to CF-EPI. BTW, What color red did you use to match the decals? Kind regards, Dutch

Norm Sheppard
I had to mix up a match for the red using Testor's Model Master Enamels, Chrysler Engine Red with a bit of Orange added.

Norm, Right, thank you. Also, what color did you paint your horizontal tail planes: silver or grey? WJ calls for white, I think, which doesn't seem correct to me. K/r, Dutch

I found a picture somewhere that clearly showed them as grey on NAF, so I did that.

Thank you, Norm. I am leaning that way myself. Here is a link to my post on ARC Forum requesting help. However, I think that you have answered my question sufficiently. K/r, Dutch

Would like to find a reasonable-Price Herald kit too. There needs to be more Turbprop Airlines in 1/72!
