As part of this GB I am doing one Russian kit and one German. Usual Tamiya quality here! The chassis and some of the cab have been built primed and, in the case of the chassis, have been painted. Now for the detail work before I can join-up the cab and mount it on the chassis.

The chassis and cab insides are painted and "washed". The same applies to the AA gun. I have also built and painted the field kitchen, it now requires some chipping and a wash.

The cab is complete now and ready to be fixed on the chassis. I have also finished the German field kitchen, which, although slowing down the build, is worth it as I'm very happy with how it turned out and will look GREAT on the dio 🙂

The cab is on the chassis, plus wheels. Just have to add all the cargo & put the sides & roof on. After a dust coat she is done 🙂

Album info

The German Army was often thought to be a highly mechanised army, in fact they relied upon a great deal of horse and horse power. Germany also had a habit of taking over each countries vehicle manufacturing companies and brought those vehicles onto their own inventory. There were a number of advantages and disadvantages to this process, the advantage was that each country continued to build the same vehicles, the disadvantage was that the army had a lot of different vehicles. Renault began designing a series of AH trucks for the French army in 1939 the AHN was a 3.5t capacity vehicle. This vehicle was equipped with a 6 cylinder engine and rear wheel drive, production began in 1941 under German occupation control.
