Andrea MorrisHi Wim! Strange kit this, not a locator peg to be found or part number. The instructions repeat that you should refer to your own reference photo's for the correct placement of parts!!! The entire cockpit internals are all resin with some PE belts.
Andrea MorrisBecause it low pressure injection plastic, EVERY part has to be cleaned up and of course the resin, the build has become rather tedious. 🙁 But I have made progress & I'll post some pics soon.
Andrea MorrisShea's all masked off & the first coat of white primer applied. This has shown that some further filling work is needed 🙁
Wim van der Luijtlooks like the transparencies are slightly too narrow for the fuselage. Some putty work still ahead!, hang in there!
Andrea MorrisA final coat of paint has been applied, however I have ran out of Aqua-Gloss so things are on hold until fresh supplies arrive.
Andrea MorrisDecaling is done, I will add the undercarriage, tail-wheel & props tomorrow. Then a final coat of varnish & she's finished 🙂

Andrea MorrisYes JW, she looks far to clean so she has had a wash! Just the undercarriage to attach & a final dull coat & sheas finished, so I won't post anymore pics until the final reveal. 🙂

Andrea MorrisThanks Wim, yeh I could have done better but you live and learn. I should have mentioned the decals as they snuggled down beautifully using just water, it doesn't say where they were printed, but they look like they were hit with Solva-set 🙂

The Avro Anson was originally designed as a light, four-passenger civil transport and mail aircraft. The first three were built to civil specifications, and first flew in 1935 for Imperial Airways. However, its promise was recognised by the British Air Ministry and, in 1936, the Avro 652A entered service with both the RAF and the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) Coastal Commands, where it was the first low-wing monoplane, and the first operational aircraft with retractable (manually) landing gear.
Named after a 18th Century Royal Navy Admiral, George Anson, the Avro Anson Mk I was used initially as a coastal patrol reconnaissance aircraft, with a manually operated, enclosed gun turret mounting a single .303 machine gun, two internally carried 100lb bombs, and external racks that could carry eight 20lb bombs, flares or smoke generators. The Anson was woefully under gunned for its task, as was embarrassingly demonstrated when one accidentally bombed a Royal Navy submarine (H.M.S. "Snapper" ) with 100lb bombs
