Nice Devastator! 👍 I'm looking for a good kit in 1:48. 🙂 Would you recommend it? I guess it's the Revell brand now..

Thank you, Bjorn! It's a very old kit (new in 1974) so it lacks refinement and detail compared to the Great Wall kit that I believe is the only other choice in 1/48 scale. However much less expensive (common on Ebay) and there were Eduard PE upgrades available for it (might be out of production now). There are some fit/assembly issues at the wing roots and wing/fuselage bottom area, cockpit detail soft, needs a bulk head behind engine and scratch building of the torpedo bay but actually one of Monogram's better mid 1970s kits. If you can get it inexpensively ok but if not then spend the extra money for the Great Wall kit.

Aircraft of VT-6 at the Battle of Midway, 6-T-8, Machinist Pilot Walter Winchell and gunner, ARM 3c Douglas Cossitt. Shot down after attacking the IJN Kaga, they survived 17 days adrift at sea before being rescued by a PBY. 1974 Monogram TBD-1. Mostly OOB; no photo etch. Testors Model Master enamel, Testors glosscote and dullcote, Starfighter Decals "TBD Devastators in War Paint".
