This is a HS Dominie that was withdrawn from use when the RAF retired the Dominie fleet.

XS731 is owned by Starjets Aviation and Leased long-term to Hawker Harrier Aviation.

The Hawker Harrier Aviation LTD group plans to use her as a Multi-Engined Pilot Trainer and a training platform for intelligence crews onboard the Sentry and Nimrod.

Aircraft information:

The Dominie was an advanced navigation trainer for students destined for fast jets with front-line squadrons. It was the first jet trainer designed specifically for such a purpose to enter RAF service. Although not widely known by the public, it is one of the RAF aircraft with the longest history: the Dominie served for almost half a century before being retired in 2011.

First flown in December 1964, it was a military derivative of the highly successful HS 125 business jet, and superseded the Armstrong Whitworth Meteor NF.(T).14
