Ideas

This project contains both M10 from Tamiya. The new Achilles is a very nice kit - but as usual I want to build something unusual.
When the british began to modify their M10 with british fittings and their powerful 17pdr. there were actually two versions. The british designation is Mk. I for the early M10 with early differential housing and triangular counterweights on the turret and Mk. II for the later M10 with duckbill counterweights and later differential housing.
The "c" in the designation Mk. IC or Mk. IIC stands for the gun - here the 17pdr.
Most of the converted M10 were Mk. IIs, but there are a few pics showing the Mk. I with the "Achilles" conversion.
To create one of this vehicles I will use parts of both Tamiya kits and additional the Hauler PEs, the MR-Modellbau "Achilles" conversion and some stowage from Legend, Verlinden and Hauler.
