Welcome Patrik. Enjoyed the albums you posted. A friend passed on the old Tamiya Type 97 to me and like your idea for painting the yellow stripe. The weathering and rust streaks on the side of the turret brings all the colours together. The Fruil tracks may be a good idea for me too, since they have such a nice sag on top. Like the Panzer III as well. The desert was rough on paint so the chipping may be OK. How did the MiniArt figures build for you? Look good in the hatches. 👍

I thinkthe Miniart figures does not match the quality of say dragons figures. Details are a bit poor and the fit isnt that good either. Maybe their more recent figures are much better.

Looking good! 👍 The camo pattern looks really great!

As for the MiniArt figures: yeah, the more recent sets do look better. The quality of those is pretty much up to par with Dragon's recent (Gen2) figure sets.

The only thing I truly hate about MiniArt (and others, like MasterBox and Tristar) is that you get absolutely NOTHING extra. No extra equipment, weapons or other accessories. It's just the sprue(s) for the figures and EXACTLY enough to build those figures. I was very disappointed after opening their boxes, being used to the abundance of (extra) items in Dragon figure sets.

For instance, Tristar figure set #35002 - German Self-Propelled Gun Crew Set contains only one sprue, for the figures. But there is not even a single piece of ammunition included, even though the figures are supposed to carry them / are in the progress of loading them into the SPG. If I compare that to the comparable Dragon set #6367 then we get an extra sprue containing ammo, canisters and ammo boxes. This is one of the reasons why I'm such a big Dragon fan 🙂 even if the included ammo and accessories may or may not be suitable for the type of SPG you are putting the figures in. It's a bonus no matter what and if nothing else, a very nice addition to the spares box!

Ah yes, I have the original 6016 version of that set 🙂 the premium version you have contains a lot of extra goodies! Very nice set, especially considering the figures are from the mid 90's 👍

Why I like the friultracks, maybe just a tiny bit too much slack but if i remove a link the slack would not be that visible.
