It took me about a month and a half it had quite a few fit issues with gear wells and intakes wich was something hasegawa was supposed to have rectified but they did not do a darn thing at least not with my mold.

Very nice Build! I agree with Michael, I also built a newer kit of hasegawas`F-14, was of a high quality with good fitting.

Well guys something I forgot to mention this is my first shot at building a hasegawa F14 A and I have a Hobby Boss B version in the stash normally I could never afford to buy either one of these kits but I got them from someone who was selling off their stash and got both these tomcats fro less than a 100.00 together but anyway there was the step section cut out in mine but it did not make a whole lot of difference I still had to level it off with putty

plus the intake trunks which can only be installed one correct way which is the way I had them installed even with dry fitting the trunks still got on the way of the wheel wells also my wheel wells were installed correctly

I still had to cut out small corner sections of the trunks to get the upper an lower halves of the plane to fit all the way together. it came with white metal wheels and rubber tires which was a plus but the gear it's self kind of sucks very weak and brittle had to drill out the main legs and install metal rods after the legs kept bending and breaking off under the weight of this 1/48 scale monster next time I will just buy metal landing gear.

but regardless of all that I am proud of how it turned out.

Oh that is ok Mike sorry bout the way I typed my reply I was not lashing out anyone I was just stating what I had to do to fix the issues the best way I knew how to do it believe me I really do appreciate advice when it comes to kits I have not done before plus if you have built one of the hobby boss tomcats. It will be a while before I get to mine if there is any issues with go ahead and tell me that way I will know what to expect when I get around to building it.

Well we will see what happens when I get to it. its funny though it seems every tomcat I have built weather it be my revel cats or my academy cat even my hasegawa there was intake issues on all of 4 of them have given me one issue or another but it goes with the territory of modeling F14's I suppose I should be used to it and it would not be much of a challenge if it was easy.
