Planned to build totally OOB as a quick AMS cure. Kit decals to be used. Have fond memories of doing this as a kid after buying it at the (now long gone) Wales Aircraft Museum in Cardiff airport.
However, carpet monster has taken on of the main wheel halves. Anyone got spares in your 1/72 AMARC/Davis-Monthan collection?

Never mind. I cut the remaining half in-half (so to speak) and made a half circle wheel. Fills the gap but won't roll. Prop spins though!

Almost there. Will try to get a pic up.

Ok. Some lousy phone pics up. Will take more tomorrow with proper camera. Calling this one done on 02May14.

BTW, built totally OOB, including decals. Only a smear of filler on the underside, where someone in Airfix had kindly removed the fuse halves from their sprues for me. This left a little scarring under the fuse. Took longer than the one I built in a day back in the early 80s, but still a quick build for me these days. Longest bit was masking the canopy. Don't you just love a nostalgia build? What do you all think?

Looks good, and a real nice job on the canopy framing!

Good work. I went to the RAF museum last weekend, I was surprised how large this aircraft is when you get close to it.

Nice looking Stuka, in particular the sharp looking glasshouse canopy. What paints did you use to the dark green/black green camo?

Humbrol all the way. Thanks for the nice comments.
