This plane was my 2nd Kit in 1:32 I have build. This is almost 20 years ago. When I see the problem with the kit, I remember, I had them too. It seems, Revell doesn´t changed the problem in the last 20 years.

The Revell kit, in spite of its age, is shape-wise better than the Trumpeter kit, and as the Rutman resin Razorback is out of my reach, this is the only way for me to go. Hope you enjoy, I'm having a blast with this one!

I m not liking the drawing. There are several Mustang drawing showing that drastic drop in top profile amid the exhaust stacks. Go back to some good inflight pictures with a fairly clean profile and make your own call. The kit spinner plate stood up is propaply right. Since it is circular if its breaeth is right so is its height and if the thrust line is right...

The line drawings are from Airframe & Miniature no.6, The North American P-51 Early Mustang by Richard A. Franks, enlarged to 1:32nd. Please take a really good look at them and tell me if there is something wrong.

I remember the "Phantom Mustang" when it was re released in the late 90's and nothing had changed to improve the tooling, and It looks the same here with rivets that look like bolts. You have done an excellent job in taming this Mustang.

looking at the photo you can see that the model itself is just bad especially for this scale and to collect just out of the box beautiful model will not work and have a lot of work good luck

We are in 2015. It is such a pity that the best plastic injection kit for the P-51 B/C available in 1:32nd was first issued in 1969!
It has minor shape issues and it lacks details, but it is not that bad, you have something to work with.
