Mmmmh,
that`s pleasure for the eyes!
The painting of this model tell us a story! To achieve a model with a character is not the easy way, but it is this which banishes us to the model!
I like all the textures, the deep of all coutours and it makes me knocking on the model, only to hear the steel and to smell the gasoline!! Wow!
You have achieved all of my senses....Great stuff my friend!

Thank you ,Mate
This week i try to make the Sandbags for the right front.And if all went well,i begin with the Crew!
21 January 2013, 11:29
Frank Krause
Crew sounds good! Could you take some picture of the different steps of painting the figures? You know, I have some more things to learn...😉
21 January 2013, 12:48
Siegfried Mühlnikel
Well Markus, this doesn't look bad at all. In fact I would say: "Very well done!" Good Job.
21 January 2013, 13:03
Julien Moyaerts
This really looks dirty and old... great job!!!! And the tank is just brutal, I love it ^^ Is this kit easy to build?
21 January 2013, 13:16
Markus Kutsch The Plastic Bench
@Frank
My friend ,i will try to take some pics.But most of my results (especially in figure painting) are almost try and error😉
I overdo (rework) the piece iam working on ca.20 times until it looks right (in my opinion).I will try it but dont expect to much!!
@Julien
I think its a good kit .There is no interior.The build of the six gun section is a little tricky.A gun is made of three main parts and its a little tricky to align them at the right angle with the tracer gun on Top ( now i know how i get it better ).
Again thanks Mates for your great comments.

Does anybody know if there is a M551 Sheridan in design from another manufactor??????
I got the chance to get one from Academy ,but it has much flaws in Reviews i read.!
22 January 2013, 07:40
Holger Kranich
Perhaps this one?

Hi Markus, as I know the Academy one is the best Hseridan. The Tamiya one...? I guess not. Despite all these reviews - I wouldn't be able to able to tell the difference between a corrected model and the Academy kit, if I would only look at the model. Go for it!
22 January 2013, 07:51
Markus Kutsch The Plastic Bench
Thanks Mates
I knew there was one from Tamiya.I think the Academy is the better choice,too.
But i wanted to be free from suprises.Just when i start this Kit with all PE ,some other manufatur wil come around with a new one (perhaps AFV).That would make me angry 🙁
Same happened with the M16 Halftrack.
22 January 2013, 07:58
Frank Krause
Meng is also good for a surprise, but I think there is no new Sheridan around the corner in short or mid term.

Love the sandbags. How did you create them? (Photos, photos, photos... want to learn... No. 5 needs input, input...)😉
22 January 2013, 12:26
Frank Krause
Forgot - upper and lower hull not fixed yet, right? If already fixed, how do paint the driver's figur without problems then?
22 January 2013, 12:27
Markus Kutsch The Plastic Bench
I made them of Apoxie Sculpt [img1]
It was the first time.It works pretty well.Used talcum powder for not sticking it to workplace.Smooth it with water.I think its better for such things then Green Stuff (Green Stuff is great for making Tarps ,Bedrolls,lace ect. )
Rolled cigar shaped and cut it into 1cm pieces.Formed it with fingers to its shape.

22 January 2013, 12:34
Markus Kutsch The Plastic Bench
The driver is not fixed.It can be positioned through the opening for the commander when lifting off the turret section.The driver sits on a piece of evergreen profile 🙂

Sandbags painted (pics follow)
@Frank
To avoid fingerprints use disposable gloves,but a brush dipped in water helps too.
Not to much or its soon wet clay!!
The time to work with the Apoxie is very long.If it dont succeed at first just knead it together again.
The acrylic paint does stick to it without priming first!
