Looking good Lemmy!

Thanks Wilfried. The scarfs on the tank are from the thinner liquid. Unfortunately I droped the open bottle and the liquid spred over the model.
So I get the cast structure on the commanders cupola and on te gun cover plate for free. 🙂

Super details and well researched!
This old Bandai models are well detailed and with some minor scratchbuilts one of the best models.
Above all no lower metal hull!!!!

Christian Lehmann
Hi Dirk, den letzten Satz verstehe ich nicht. Wie ist das gemeint?
28 November 2012, 06:35
Dirk Heyer
Ah sry, I compared the Bandai kit with Tamiya. Tamiya is coming out with this stupid metal hulls! My finger was faster than my mind!😉

o.k. understood this statement now

I recieved my new compressor so that I was able to seal the decals.
For the stars I used dry transfers for the first time and the original Bandai decals for the rest. These decals worked well after 30 years.
Yesterday I proceeded the paint job and started final assembly. Today I will try to do some chipping - this will be a real challenge.

Dirk Heyer
Hy Christian,
at this point a n amazing job you did!
The photo-etched parts are setting so many details, so you will have nice little eyecatcher!
the colour modulation is a skilful application, now all large plane surfaces are beautiful broken with nice light effects.
And the weathering is pointed out as well like a 35 masterpiece.
The black grey coloured rubber chevrons are coming out with true realism!
And I like the duckbills, a Sisyphus work to clue`em all.....
The light brown coloured wood handles of your tools is well done. Looks very realistic.

Many thank´s Dirk. Like always a very detailed and funded anlysis and comment. In deed to clean and bend all the duckbills was a sysiphus work

Markus Kutsch The Plastic Bench
Hi Christian
You did a very great job.My first model after years was the M10 from Tamiya in 1/48 (see my Album)but my one is far away from you sherman. The duckbills are realy great ,they "pimp" the Sherman.
Seems like you will add "Tank Riders" !
12 December 2012, 19:23
Christian Lehmann
Hi Markus, you´re right. Tank riders are intended. They are from "Adalbertus". Not so much detailed as the figures from Gasoline but usable. I will pimp them by using some parts of the Tamiya US infantry set.
12 December 2012, 19:47
Christian Lehmann
The crew is painted and partly mounted. The first stage of the Sherman project is finished for 95% now. The only missing work is to lash the stowage, rework and paint the raiders, doing some weathering ( mud) on the tracks and to mount the two front hatches. I don´t know if I can finish this within this week because I have to asemble a Naboo Fighter with my daughter ( Little Lemmy 🙂 ) within this week.
17 December 2012, 21:37
Kim Branders
Nice job man, keep up the work with the Naboo Fighter. Grtz Kim 🙂

Album info

Hello together, here are the first pics of this project. While painting the interior I tried the hairspray technique for the first time. I used alclad Aluminum as base coat. The effect is best visible on the gun. On the pics of the flor the contrast between white and Alu is not enough. , On the painted the and
