Got a start on this one for a group build in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Mustang. Painted Lime Gold from scalefinishes this will be mostly box stock as I have a deadline coming up. Interior is green on green on green. I am not a fan of the Mustang fastback wheels so I sourced a set of Kelsey/Hayes magstars from a GT 350 for this one as I wanted to keep a stockish look. Went to work opening them up. Also weathered the chassis and engine as this will be a "driver"

Looks good, thanks for sharing it. What color did you use for the body?

It is Lime Gold. Which is a factory correct color and I got it from scalefinishes. Thank you!

Nice car, not sure I like the colour though, maybe it will grow on me.

It's ok. I'm sure the color isn't for everyone. I really like it and I'm happy with how it laid down!! Wait until it goes together with the green interior!! Lol.

I am liking this. I had a friend in HS that had a 68 Mustang coupe in that color.

Not one of Fords finer colors, but that was the 60's 🤣 but great work thus far !

Thanks Bill!! I am happy with how it's going.

Thanks Bob, I know the color isn't for everyone but I kind of like all those old sort of undesirable colors they had.

Got the GT stripes added to the side. And painted up my Kelsey Hayes Cobra takeoffs. Finally got things modified enough to get the wheels to fit in the wheel wells and dropped the nose a hair so the car was more level.

And this one rolls across the finish line too. This kit has its issues however I really did enjoy it. Happy with the results too.

Thanks guys! It's a factory mustang color for the year and I think it fits the car nicely.

Throw a radio antenna on there and swap out the wheels and I'd say you made a "Mini Me Mustang" ! LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Your personal car Bob? Gorgeous. If the kit had come with those wheels I'd have put them on!! I like them a lot. And I love that color!

No, but is the sit I have my car posted, I have a 2008 Shelby GT 500 KR. But Ford dis bring back that color in 2005 for a year or two.

Thank you good sir, I still can't believe in 4 years, I had bought her 20 years ago, damn I'm old.!

I find that hard to believe myself Bob. My daily driver is a 2008 (not a Mustang) and I don't even think about it being nearly 20 years old by now. Insane how quick time goes
