Interesting story about a German fighterpilot, who decided not to shoot down a heavily damaged B-17.

Actually a fantastic kit with mindblowing engineering. Definitely no fitting issues. I know how good Tamiya kits are, I've built some already. But this one is stunning.
Don't know if I like the option of changing the closed and/or open engine hood.
Everything fits superb and there are lots of details. Cockpit is awesome … who needs Eduard's range of aftermarket kits for this one ? It's a typical One-o-nine cockpit, you won't see anything at all. I tried the Löök Instruments board, which is pretty neat and looks very good. With the board there comes some photoetched seatbelts. Very welcome instead of the Decals from Tamiya.

Hey there!, may I follow your build!?, I'm doing the smaller version from Tamiya. It'd be interesting to see the scale differences. I hope to build Charlie Brown's damaged B-17 too.
