SAS "Pink Panther" Oman

Album image #1
Soon to start the old Tamiya Land Rover with some extra goodies.

Album image #2
Started on the frame. The work is pretty straight forward and fit is good. The spare tyre holder is upgraded..

Album image #3
The AM wheels are a big disapointment. The original Tamiya wheels are better detailed.

Album image #4
Plastic, resin and bling

Album image #5
So far everyting fits very nice.

Album image #6
The truck bed is not yet glued to the frame.

Album image #7
Fiddly work on the stowage.

Album image #8
I soldered the bar at the back of the truck bed. Not very difficult, but it took a couple of tries.

Album image #9
More resin and bling.

Album image #10
I have to admit the smoke launchers were extremly fiddly to put together.

Album image #11
She looks good with a golden mouth

Album image #12
Starting to look like a Landrover

Album image #13
Some more «bling» at the dasboard

Album image #14
I have realised that this will take some time. I corrected the dash board for a few mistakes, added some resin and PE details and made return springs for the clutch and brake pedal. Also well underway with a heavily modified rear GPMG.

Album image #15
Finished the machine guns.

Album image #16
Only ammo belte missing

Album image #17
Some Black primer

Album image #18
Still a long way to go

Album image #19
The pink color is back

Album image #20
The Charlie G is from Black Dog

Album image #21
Got some work done on the SAS Pinkie

Album image #22
Lots of work left

Album image #23
M-72 from Dragon

Album image #24
Finally the Landy is back on the bench. A lot of small bits and pieces ready for paint

Album image #25
Starting to mock up the vehicle. Never mind the paint job it is still at a very early stage.

Album image #26
Still a lot to do with regards to painting

Album image #27
Lot of stowage added

Album image #28
Still room for some more weapons.

Album image #29
Started a base for the Landy

Album image #30
Slowly getting there

Album image #31
…but still a lot of painting to be done.

Album image #32
Been working a bit with the base. After a couple of hours it looks like this.

Album image #33
Slowly getting there. Still some detail painting to do

Album image #34
And some more work to the base as well.

Album image #35
Finished!

Stay away from the aftermarked wheels I have listes in this project. They are not worth the money. The original Tamiya wheels are much better detailed.

Eric I cannibalised the Italeri kit for the suspension and steering and it fitted perfectly to my Tamiya ambulance.
