Spanjaard you have no idea about the fun the memories the feelings I`ve got while building this kit this way. ItΒ΄s really good. It`s fun and relaxing. Building a kit without any worries about the look the finnish the perfection whathever. This was like I build them 50 years ago. Me and my neighbor and school friends.

Didn't have this kit but this is how I built my first kits as well. I had a Matchbox De Havilland Mosquito. The 1982 box I believe...

Good work. I really like those old Matchbox stands with the posable ball and socket at the top. Can't remember using any filler back then though. And shouldn't the canopy have fingerprint smudges?

That Strikemaster was my first model, when I was about 4 or 5. My dad built it for me, so it looked very nice and neatly assembled. Really takes me back, seeing this.

I was using paint as putty, if u use enough you see no gaps any more (also no surface details 😄 )

Anyway, I decided to fill the joints and paint the fuselage with the plastic color. The gap was very ugly. Although the wings are not painted. I just polished and waxed it. No decals.
