When I was a kid in very early 80's I had a friends dad who had found one of these in England in even worse shape and had it shipped to the states just in a dark blue color, such a shameful fate for a fine automobile !

Well this is thankfully only a model and do like Bll's destructive modelling
He told me he only builds a model one time and he has to like the model
He also said he would wish there was more British car models
He is from England
So I looked around for something for him and seen this one
Bought it and took it to his house
I asked him if he likes it and he said yes its butiful
And a bit to nice to destroy
I said I bought it whed you in mind so I will leave it here
Its yours now
So I guess he felt he had to do it lol
So you can all blame me
I think its more interesting now and Bill is fantastic at destruction

Now I think he needs a new car because this one is no good anymore it will cost a fortune to get it back on the road again
Lest see what classic British car I can find for him

What scale is it?

Its 1/18 scale and yes it did start out as a perfect model
Bill and me got along very well for the start he told me he likes
To make things like this cos its easy for him to make a nice model but the one that's run-down gets more attention and is more interesting
We also spoke a bit about what cars are made of
Like the dB 5 is not really the best car for this because the body was made of aluminium so it dosent rust
Just like the old triumph was galvanised
And the rover's had fibreglass bonnet and galvanised bodies
He also told me about a model he made look very rusty to get told by someone this car had sides made of hides
So it dosent rust
Very interesting conversation

I dident build it
I gave the car to a mate of mine that's what he did whed it
I gave it to him because I like what he does
I think detailed builds and building wreks is butiful in different ways
He has also done a build like this on a mercedes 540 pocher kit
Amongst other fantastic builds

Sorry JV, I was stalking your albums when I came across this....
AMT introduced the Junkyard Dog. It looks like a cool kit, all busted up and wonky. However, AMT failed to do their research, because as any trucker, or serious truck modeller will tell you, the Mack R model, came with a fibreglass hood! I've never seen fibreglass dent? So once again, the masters, did a booboo? Yet to this day, that kit sells for a stupid price!
But, your friend Bill, did an excellent job on this, and I applaud him. Commander Bond, would be shaken, but not stirred 😉
