B-36B (De Havilland D.H.98 Mosquito B Mk. V, RF902), JX-3; 24th Air Regiment, Hradec Králové Airport, pilot Karel Kuttelwascher at the turn of 1945/1946, decal design: Designové studio U ptáka a Kocoura, print APC Decals.
After the end of the war, Karel Kuttelwascher returned to Czechoslovakia in August 1945 on a DH-98 Mosquito B Mk.V, donated to him by his comrades-in-arms; Shortly afterwards, he was succeeded by his wife Ruby with two daughters. As a member of the Czechoslovak Air Force, he was promoted to staff captain and stationed in Ruzyně. A month later, he returned to his former base in Hradec Králové as an instructor at the Aviation Academy. His "Mosquito" received matriculation JX-3 and was in the records of the 24th Air Regiment based in Pilsen-Bory. The machine was sprayed with silver paint, only the fuselage around the cabin, the inside of the engine nacelles and the moving parts of the GTC and SOP were sprayed in black. He had his Night Reaper sign painted on the bow. This aircraft was popularly used on air days, on which Kuttelwascher in a glass cabin exported various papals and other "interested". His wife Ruby did not live with life in Czechoslovakia and Kuttelwascher's air force service and returned to England in January 1976. Karel Kuttelwascher also watched with apprehension the growing power of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia under Soviet "supervision" in the renewed republic. He therefore applied for a return of the visa to the United Kingdom. On May 21, 1946, he resigned from the Air Force and five days later he managed to fly to England with "his" Mosquito.
