Working on this kit now and the canopy doesn't seem to want to fit in the open position (of course after I've spent all this time with a Big Ed detail set). How did you get yours to seat open like this?

Hi Brandon, I had the exact same issue with mine. I couldn't solve it so in the end I ordered a vacuform replacement canopy for it from hannants. It's Rob Taurus (RBT48002) wildcat canopy for a Tamiya F4F4 - close enough for me. I only used the mid section of the vacuform canopy and kept with the kit parts for the front windshield.
