The "flag stripes" were very fragile...Never mind!

The interesting thing about this kit is that it contains decals for the red stripes.

Unfortunately they are quite old and fragile, and, as you can see, although I'm trying to do my best, some of them are broken.

I'll try to complete the stripes with a fine brush, hoping that I have the right tone of red.

Moreover, the upper right roundel were totally damaged. As a spare, I used a decal from the Mister Kit in my stash.
These decals are very good, but a little small than the original...

I'm trying to make the red stripes masking with tape and painting them using a fine brush. I'm using an enamel...Seems to work!

In the meantime, I'm continuing to apply the remaining fragile decals

For the tail fin I used decals from Misterkit

Although more decals are a bit broken (I'll fix them painting with a fine brush), I'm quite satisfied. I have still to work on lots of parts and details, but the finish is close

After a summer break, I restarted the job applying the landing gear.
Still more details to fix...

Finished! It's not one of my best models, maybe there are too much defects, but I really enjoyed this job and I learn a lot... 🙂

Hi Peppy! Thank you very much! I really like to build vintage kits in a "classic" way, just to relax 🙂

Nice start, Moreno! Have this kit (different boxing) in my stash. What do you think of the Canopy Survival kit? Worthwhile? It looks interesting but have never seen any reviews of it…

@Gordon: Well, there are lots of pre-cut masks, and I think It's very useful If you don't want to use time to create them with tape.
The quality is very good!

Dear Edward, Bruce and Patryk, thanks for your interest and support!

Applying decals is becoming a sort of nightmare because some of them dissolve in water (maybe they are too old 🙂 )

Fortunately I have some spare decals 😉 : tomorrow I'll post an update 😉

It's a shame the stripes fell apart. Could you be tempted to take than off and hand paint them instead? The colours scheme is very eye catching.
