Hi Rui S, this one is placed a bit later in '43, maybe already Q4, at least it has itself the pampas crest earned. By than these vehicles have been subject to field modifications. Some Ferdinand were caught in the open, pined and isolated by artillery and overrun in close combat. On original photos we see a lot of the tools beeing moved to the rear of the vehicle and in many cases things like these steps, for climbing the vehicle, gone.

I thought only when they overhauled and upgraded to Elephants, they put the tool box in the back😎

Rui S they had at least two major depo level maintenance 1st in September "K works" at Dnjepropetrovsk and the 2nd in Nikopol before getting back to the Nibelungenwerk

Yes, you are right.
I've made the italeri Elephant, and as I remember, the instructions sheet said to put it over the right side mudguard and that was not true in the Elephant.
