Fit wings to fuselage. It was a good fit.
The cockpit went together very well

The under-carriage was painted separately. It was a good fit.
I painted the cowlings while still on the sprue to make it easier to hold them.
Painted the entire plane with the Japanese sky and it looked fantastic.
The stencils were put on which was fiddly.

All the main markings are on and matt varnished the entire aircraft

The aircraft is 95% finished with just more matt varnishing to do on the propeller and landing gear.

Jonathan AtkinsonThanks Derek, the photoetch for this kit from Eduard is so small and trying to fit it all together is a challenge but only doing my best. I do really like the Blue and green colours for the Zero. Also I do wish that Tamiya did more World War 2 1/32 aircraft such as the Me 262, Spitfire Mk1, Bf109, Hurricane and plenty more.

Jonathan AtkinsonI am thinking of building a P-40B Kittyhawk which fought the Zero at Pearl Harbour, but unsure what is the best kit for the P-40B in 1:32 scale. Any ideas let me know.
