Looking good. 👍 I'm in
Nice work on the tree. May I ask what do you use for the snow?

Thanks @Rui. its baking soda (I just uploaded a new image). but its not working well. over time, the baking soda becomes yellowing.

I've heard that if you mix it with white paint or white pastel it works better.
Sometimes baking soda is not pure sodium bicarbonate and that increase that yellowing.
I've bought pure sodium bicarbonate for my winter war T-26 model. I will try it and see if it works better.
I like your mud dark colour. 👍 It works much better than the brownish colour often seen in snow dios.

Hi @Rois thanks for the tip on the Baking Soda. I did add white paint, pastel, white glue and it might be that its not pure (I bought a small bottle from the supermarket). looking to see your experiment!

Thanks on the mud. I was told during winter, soil can have a very dark color. in fact there are many reference photos that show soil in snow have a large range of colors from medium to dark brown. I have never seen snow so I took my changes in making it dark! LOL

Hi @Spanjaard, I am will try out the AK 'snow' diorama products as I wanted too see from myself if it works (the promotional how-to video are great tho).

snow from AK should work fine, although certainly more expensive than soda😉

Yes, I think so.

I've bought my pure sodium bicarbonate here:

celeiro.pt/produtos/..mas-kg-baule-volante

As to the mud, I've read that in Russia it's very dark as seen in the Rasputitsa photos, but I think it varies.

I discovered a nice effect in my Outono / Autumn 1944 - Elefant, dio.

Better than in my Gniloy-Tikich - Panther, dio.

Looks great. Well done. Also nice figure painting. Congratulations Danumurthi 👍
Are the ammo boxes scratched?
I see that you retired the baking soda from the gun?
31 October 2017, 13:05
Danumurthi Mahendra
Thanks, @Rui. the ammo boxes are scratched from balsa wood using white glue. and yes, I took out all the snow from the gun as i thought the crew would like the gun to be fully functioning.
