Pretty cool..I have this kit and was throwing around the idea of making it like the Sherriff's car from Smokey and the Bandit!

You may have to find someone to make the decals (or make them yourself) but that is a cool idea!

Except for the fact that Smokey police is car is 1974 Monaco it would be OK.

I did find two of the REVELL CHEVY CAPRICE POLICE CAR 1:25TH SCALE PLASTIC MODEL KIT MOLDED IN WHITE on Ebay up for bid. While it is a "snap together" kit it is the same set up as the Revell Taxi / Fire Chief Chevy Caprice Model Kit NIB 1:25 scale (515H) 6294 and is fairly sophisticated, The Taxi / Fire Chief car did have the radar detector and computer included as "extras". These kits really should be glued together or you will likely have small parts falling off of the car otherwise. I would definitely recommend and consider building another one of these Revell models again.

I was referring to the brown Sherrif car but it turns out it's a LeMans anyway!

Too bad.
Also too bad they don't make it in 4 door, you could do sheriff of McNairy county Tennessee, walking tall and carrying a big stick

Well I will be looking for some Sherriff cars! LOL Anyway you do them is cool. I just like to look stuff up so don't take offense M. Julian at correcting you about it needing to be a Dodge. I think you right Chris a 4 door would be cool. This Caprice is a lot like the 1972 Impala Custom Coupe that I wrapped around a tree. My Chevy was metallic green (gold metallic not silver metallic) and kind of looked like this picture I found on the internet. bing.com/images/sear..f3co0&ajaxhist=0

I had one of those too, X RCMP pursuit special. Blue and white painted, 440 engine. Had a build tag still attached to the rad. support that said "special mask special paint special order. It had the toughest suspension I'd ever seen, looked like (the first) blues mobile, it went so fast I could almost time travel

Thanks Es-haq. Who knew building a 2-door fire chief car could generate so much discussion about police cars that I would feel compelled to build one! LOL
