Nice space. It's always good to have natural light in a mans cave.

Watching a modeling mancave being built is just like watch a kit being built. With that in mind - skip doing too much weathering 😛

i just started putting up the last set of shelves, however, the last one is a bit to long (2.5 meters) and has to be shortened by 50cm.

the 3 top shelves are now in place, but im not going to put any models on them for at least 24 hours, as im still a bit insecure about my work, mostly because of faulty tools and an 8mm stonedrill that appeared to be a bit bent on the last parts, i did replace it for the highload parts of course.

tomorrow, im expecting the delivery of a new office chair for the mancave, as i want to build in comfort.
as for today, i still have a lot of other work to do arround the house.

as of now, the new mancave is now about 95% finished.

Mate, what are you going to put on those shelves to use 8mm? The real thing? hehe. "8mm stonedrill a bit bent"? is that a concrete or stone wall? You should start with a thinner drill and them go for a larger one to do a clean job.

i prefer to play it safe, a little extra strength is always welcome.
besides, i was working with cheap drills and an underpowered powertool.

Yah mate, I know what happens with those cheap drills...

last year i ad to move my workbench to the master bedroom, as i had to surrender my mancave to make a bedroom for my now 2.5 year old son.
so now i had my little modeling corner, but i never got to get something done properly due to lack of space.

over the past week, ive started clearing up the junk out of that corner and make that space mine again, i bought a new modular bookshelf for my library and raised the top section of my workbench to get extra space. although its not perfect, at least now i can get something done. next time, im building a new spray booth.
