As per the instructions I started out with the suspension. With many tiny and fragile parts I quickly realised it would be easier to join the upper and lower hulls first. It took me a while to figure out how to fit the recesses for the headlights, but once I did the two halves came together very well.

Guys, can anybody tell me what the panel is below the rear door? It has a yellowish cross.

The cross is white, just a little bit dirty. The panel is the Leitkreuz (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leitkreuz). It's the modern version of the Wehrmacht's Kolonnenrücklicht (convoy light) and mounted on all Bundeswehr vehicles. It's lighted by a small lamp positioned on a crossbar in the center. The light shines through holes in the lamp body onto the reflective white cross. You can only view it for some meters even if it's pitch dark, but it's visible enough to be recognized by the following vehicle.

Good to learn these things. Thanks a lot!

Suspension completed! It's a bit wonky, but it's all there. Previous kits I've tried with such detail I gave up on in frustration at broken/lost parts. I took my time with this and am fairly pleased with the results. I am now just a bit concerned I'm not going to get the wheels looking straight.

Paint scheme done. Washes next. Not sure what happened with guards for the sidelights. Probably an error by me as the rest of the kit fitted really well.

Decals done, the one for the left side was way oversized (unless I'm mistaken) so I had to use the one meant for the rear door. Next I'll try a filter to blend everything together.

And finally finished. In all honestly I did not enjoy this build too much, mainly through my own fault. I built things in the wrong order and numerous instances I had to repair parts I accidentally broke off. For a small scale kit it is very nicely detailed for somebody who is a bit more skilled than me.
