v-belt is wrong because normally there are two, but in the end it is not so visible

i made a little bolt for the front axle to the oil cooler. now its movable

Little Update here: Lots of PE Parts glued together. More than 30 bolt heads needed to be folded and glued in place
very tricky to bring the parts in place
some bolt heads missing right now. they're less than one millimeter :-/

the rings connected together with bolts. pulling bar is mounted. all together is called "Wiesehobel" A tool for farmers to pull with the bulldog to destroy molehills on grass fields.

15° - like the grass field here in the black forrest - need to be sanded to make it nice and fine
number plates - made with illustrator - printed on white decal sheet - cut out and painted with Tamiya clear coat- yes, I made a few… 🙂 - FR is for Freiburg, ES is the abbreviation of the man who's having birthday, 1935 is his year of birth

The base is sanded. Top is painted with Tamiya flat brown.

Downside is covered with self adhesive felt.

Today I made last wiring
So I can prime this thing and painting can start. I think then this thread will be a bit more interesting
Zetor main body after priming in a zenithal lighting way
after two layers of very diluted base color. Its Tamiya cockpit green with a few drops of white

we had a little wedding here…the front axle is glued to the main body
I brushed a very thin and diluted layer of Tamiya "Smoke". Main direction from the downside to have a second layer of shadow. After that I started a first step of weathering with oil colors

And we ca see, how the Zetor becomes slowly to "live". First details also have been painted. Exhaust got his first "red brown" layer

After a few rounds of chipping and weathering the Zetor looks like this
there still some things to do
but slowly the Zetor comes near the finish line

for the mud inside the mudguards I used acrylic resin mixed with tamiya "flat brown" and two kinds of sand

So…I got a bit further on. Wheels are mounted, the Wiesehobel is ready and glued to the base

I also painted "Ernst". The farmer. Here is his head. Figure painting is not so my cup of tea and needs much more practice.
He's wearing his normal blue working trousers and his mint-green shirt

Normaly when Ernst drives the bulldog "Bunny" is around. She looks a bit like this dog
After building it needs to be filled with green putty & sanded a bit. Neckless is Tamiya Tape
Tamiya rubber black is base color. Eyes & nose painted with glossy black
Tongue is Tamiya flat flesh with a bit red brown and red

Hi there. I call this ready. Today I fixed the "Wiesehobel" decal witch I made with photoshop. After the decal totally dried I coated the wooden base with semi gloss clear.
Now some detail shots
I cut of 3 chain links so that the zetor got a bit away from the edge
At last the Wiesehobel in detail. Tomorrow I will make some photos outside in the original surrounding of that scene. Thank U for looking!

These are the last pictures for this post. This was a gift…and it is given. The birthday child was quite happy with it.

Ben DeckerHi Leif, I Iike the bulldogs since I'm child. And when I saw this kit the first time it was clear that I need to buy it. And now I have an actual reason to build it. My neighbors 80s birthday. He was a farmer all his life and is it still. This will be my present for him.

Little update on the Zetor.
02.03.15 - Today I made the driver seat. Or should I say farmer seat?
However, 22 PE and 2 resin parts needed to be glued together. You can see thee result in the following pictures.
03.03.15 - Today I made the headlights and filled some bubble holes on the bonnet.
Left and right mudguard have been wired. Rear light on the left mudguard also.
05.03.15 - I started to prepare the rear wheels. I tried to give them a good used look. Therefor I rolled the wheels along the blade of a saw. To see the result I sprayed one of the wheels with primer.
09.03.15 - I made a little pin for the tow-bar. Left mudguard is mounted. Wiring also. I also did some wiring on the motor.
