Won-der-ful!

What kind of helo is that on pic 19? Looks like a wild mixture of a Bk-117 and a JetRanger!;)

Ludovik, that is a Hudson Bomber. It is operated by the Temora Aviation Museum. T'he aircraft with it it the worlds only airworthy P-40F I believe.

I wish the photos would look a bit better after I spend so long uploading them onto scalemates! They look very washed out compared to the original images and fuzzy. I did downside them from the large files to only a few hundred KB's they look fine before I upload them, oh well.... 🙁

Dirk Heyer
Thx for sharing all those nice pictures.
I'm truly jealous. Would be a great moment to see a flying Hudson and Boomerang! Wuuaah!
Both are my top favs of the RAAF veterans. The Tojo Buster, the former veteran of the No. 32 Squadron and later of No 2 Squadron is absolutely great.
And it seems the Boomerang is painted as an aircraft of No. 84 Squadron.
And furthermore many thx for those nice engine close up pictures of the Hercules! Great stuff.

Did you attend the last big air show at Amberley Glen ? A few years back now, 2010 I think, but that was the last Hurrah of the F-111 sadly, before they were buried them, "somewhere in Qld". I just wish I knew where I put the storage chip from my camera ! Doh !

I remember the first night time Dump and Burn over Brisbane in 76 and they came in over Mt Cootha, three of them, over Brisbane, one went north to the Sunshine coast, one went south to the Gold coast and the middle one went vertical, WELL !!! There were car accidents all over town, some people thought the bomb had gone off, others thought we had been invaded by Martians, but it was so spectacular mate. just stunning, and Brisbane then built a festival around it and called it "River Fire".
