yes that is the problem no easy way to paint the bubbles im looking at getting the alliance set 35080 that would make it that much easier plus it has stencils for the hummel and stugIV

Yeah, I made the academy hetzer (Academy - Nr. 13230) and it had a nifty mask included to do the hard edge camo. With all of those colors and the hard edge, you're probably looking at a few layers of paint.....I think in some places I had 13 layers!

well thanks for the encouragement, James. might as well try something new and different now i will have to order that alliance set, Sprue Brothers has it for 19.00, now to check E-bay

Well, william...I went a bit overboard on the painting as I layed down at least 3 shades for the yellow, green and red.......I'm not sure it was necessary but I wanted to take the modulation method to its logical conclusion......without the modulation there would probably be substantially less layers ....here's my Hetzer build>>>Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer; late Production Academy - Nr. 13230 | Album by winterfritz (1:35)

I just placed my order for the stencils, i don't think i will modulate the colors i only do that with single colors i try to achieve modulation with dot filtering with camo's, your Hetzer looks fantastic it really has me excited to try this bubble camo

The dot filtering for camos (soft edge) has me sort of scratching my head. It tends to take the soft edge off of the camo and turn it into a blur...IMHO.....[img1]

i hope not the camo wont be very bubbly then 🙂

Well, maybe if you used the oil dots more as a filter where I used them to alter the tonality in a less subtle manner. Notice how the left panel in the photo has had the dots applied to this effect.....I'm not sure I'd call that filtering [img1]........
I used AK Interactive P241 for an overall filter, sealed it with Future and then hit the vertical panels with oil dots.
