Extra points for building a Jo-Han kit! I love it when folks build up the older kits and do a smashing job at it! Didn't Jo-Han also release this as a chrome-plated kit? Or maybe I'm thinking of Lindberg... 🙂

Album info

The Jo-Han kit allows you to build a Razorback or Bubble top version of the P-47D. The cockpit was sparse but I added an instrument panel and the pilot. I painted the aircraft with a lighter shade of OD, post shading around the panel lines to break up the monotone finish. I used a mix of kit decals and Eagle Strike insignia. The stand is built from a wood plaque and an image adjusted in paintbrush to fit on the plaque.
